What: South Pasadena Juggling Club Sturtevant Camp Festival.
When: Friday, May 13 4PM to Sunday, May 15 2PM.
Where: Sturtevant Camp is a .backcountry. camp in beautiful Santa Anita Canyon. It is 4 ½ miles hike from Chantry Flats in the Angeles National Forest north of Arcadia, CA. http://tiny.cc/xsh1i
How to get there: Park at Chantry Flats and hike to Sturtevant Camp. Adams Pack Station offers mule pack service for your stuff ($0.50/lb each way), see below.
Who: Well, people on this e-mail list and their friends. Jugglers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Sturtevant Camp doesn't allow pets (groan) or alcohol.
Accommodations: Backcountry cabins. We.ll have one all male and one all female cabin as well as mixed, and can adjust as needed. Linens and blankets are provided. There is a lodge, hot showers, pretty civilized for .backcountry.. See: http://www.adamspackstation.com/facilities.html#sturtevantc
Venue for juggling, etc: Things will mostly be happening outside, and there is dirt. The lodge has a pretty low ceiling so only "low things" can happen in there.
Free tent camping also available at Spuce Grove Campground, about 15 minutes from Sturtevant Camp. If you are interested in tent camping, please contact Bryan Langholz for more details (email address below).
Meals: Meals (and snacks) will be provided. There is a well equipped kitchen and we will ask for volunteers to do set up, cooking, and clean up.
Registration: Money talks. Pay to register. To assure that we meet our cost minimum, we will only accept 2 night reservations until 4/24 and open up to 1 night reservations thereafter. Registration ends May 1 or when we reach the Camp limit. There is a limit of 30 participants.
Festival cost: $100 for the Friday-Sunday, $50 for Saturday-Sunday. Cost includes lodging (shared cabins) and meals.

Refund policy: Refund (-10% charge) available to May 1. After May 1, refunds are possible only if there are people on the waiting list who take your place.
Other expenses: Parking at Chantry Flats ($5 or $10/day) depending on where you park. (More info later), $0.50/lb each way to have Pack Station mules carry your stuff. (Must get it to us or them a couple of days in advance.)
